In 2002, while living at our family compound in Sag Harbor, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and died 100 days later. My mother -- and, indeed, our entire family -- were desperately seeking answers to 1,000 questions about the complexities of battling cancer.
Back then there was no place to turn. Now there is. . . Fighting Chance. The charity provides free-of=charge professional counseling to cancer patients on the East End. It provides them with a real chance -- a true fighting chance of beating back the disease.
I am proud to have been the Founder of Fighting Chance and to have served as Chairman of the Board from 2002 - 2015. For more details go to: www.fightingchance.org
